Tradition and vision
HBS was created in 2003 by Hervé Benzakein and Philippe Hancock, building on 20 years banking experience earned with a leading European financial group.
The aim of the founders was to make available to wealthy clients their skills and know-how in the area of wealth management, credit, and investment banking. They wanted to offer a full range of services relating to wealth administration and management.
Between 2004 and 2008 the team expanded and HBS continued to strengthen its expertise in the three key areas of Family Office services: Administration, Investments and Legal & tax.
HBS built up a large network of international service providers: a number of banks, law firms, tax advisors and audit firms that enable it to provide its customers with quality advice and top service domestically and on a global basis.
The cautious and independent investment approach of HBS helped its customers protect their wealth and investments through the financial meltdown in 2008. More recently HBS has assisted clients in successfully adapting to the major change in laws and regulations in the banking and financial space.
In 2009 we relocated to the historical center of Geneva and since 2013 our innovative and independent business model, as well as our values and work ethic, have attracted several high-level executives from the world of banking and finance to join us and we continue to attract interest from a number of others.
Over the years HBS has posted solid growth, thanks to the trust of its clients and the professionalism of its staff. Firmly established in Geneva and with an international network of partners, HBS aims to establish a reference as a leading Family Office.
